Exchange of words

These angry words were written by Jayaprakash Narayan to Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru on 17 November 1950. The occasion for this heated exchange was a crisis in Nepal when the King of Nepal took refuge in the Indian Embassy and was later flown out to Delhi.

‘My dear Bhai’

On a train to Gaya, on 4 March 1953, Jayaprakash Narayan was writing a letter to a person whom he addressed as 'Bhai'. Like Dada in Bangla, Anna in Tamil, Bhai in Hindi is a term of respect for an elder brother.

Third Pan-Indian Stir

Unlike the first two, the third mass movement has no leaders. Events have shown that the enactment is dangerously divisive, and the CAA is the forerunner to the National Citizenship Register and National Population Register which the government is committed to implement. Once implemented, the nation could witness the largest statelessnes crisis the world has ever witnessed.
