Following nearly a week of strike action, a confrontation at JNU has snowballed into a political flashpoint, with ABVP alleging organised violence and demanding arrests.
Amid controversy over alleged sloganeering against PM Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah at JNU, the CSO of the university has written to the Vasant Kunj Police Station SHO, requesting registration of an FIR for raising objectionable and provocative slogans in the campus.
When asked about the criticism he encountered, Pandit said, "We want people to criticize it, but they should criticize it logically and not just say that this is a propaganda film."
The rankings covered 13 categories, including overall, university, colleges, engineering, management, pharmacy, law, medical, architecture, dental, research, agriculture, and innovation.
The DCW, in its statement, said it has issued a notice to the JNU registrar, after taking "suo moto cognizance of media reports in this matter and sought details of action taken till now from the registrar on the issue".
