NHRC seeks report from UP DGP, Home Secretary on police lathi-charge in Meerut

The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) has taken cognisance of a complaint submitted by the Dr Ambedkar Jan Kalyan Samiti, alleging serious human rights violations during a peaceful public demonstration in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh.
