Jairam Ramesh accuses Amit Shah of targeting Opposition in pursuit of two-thirds majority

Congress leader Jairam Ramesh on Friday accused Union Home Minister Amit Shah of attempting to secure a two-thirds majority for the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) in the Lok Sabha by all means ahead of the forthcoming Monsoon Session of Parliament, alleging that the ruling establishment was seeking to weaken Opposition parties to achieve its political objectives.

In a post on X, Ramesh blamed what he called “G2” for engineering a regime change. He wrote, “What the Indian National Congress had been saying often during the Bihar election campaign has now come to pass. A leadership coup and regime change orchestrated by G2 has taken place. It is, in many ways, a huge betrayal of the mandate of the people.”
