The Delhi Police Academy marked International Yoga Day 2025 with great fervour, organising collective yoga sessions across its four campuses on Saturday.
The Morarji Desai National Institute of Yoga (MDNIY), under the Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India, awarded a grant of ₹2 lakh to the university for organising the Green Yoga Programme.
The Chief Minister launched the state’s first yoga policy on the occasion and promised subsidy support to develop yoga, wellness, and research centres across the state.
The National Cadet Corps organised nationwide yoga session where more than nine lakh cadets participated in the synchronised sessions at the iconic landmarks of the country, to commemorate the 11th International Day of Yoga, on Saturday.
Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Saturday participated in a yoga session on the occasion of International Yoga Day at the Water Sports Club, Sonia Vihar, along the banks of the Yamuna River.
The event will also see the participation of Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini and Health Minister Aarti Singh Rao, among other dignitaries.
Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini is leading the charge, aligning the state’s efforts with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s global message of “Yoga for One Earth, One Health.”
Rekha Gupta announced that the government would organize Yoga events at 11 locations to mark a new tradition in the city.
Ahead of International Yoga Day on June 21, the Uttar Pradesh government is set to integrate yoga into daily governance and office culture.
