During the high-profile tour, PM Modi held discussions with chief executives and senior representatives of more than 50 multinational corporations operating across sectors, including semiconductors, logistics, infrastructure, technology, clean energy, and artificial intelligence.
According to the UAE, the network sought to infiltrate the country’s economy and carry out schemes that could threaten national financial stability, echoing broader regional efforts by Iran and its proxies to extend their reach amid escalating hostilities.
India and the UAE successfully concluded the third meeting of the Joint Committee under the India–UAE Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) in New Delhi.
A statement from the Ministry of Defence stated that this high-level visit is set to enhance bilateral military cooperation and explore new avenues for collaboration, particularly in the areas of training and capability enhancement.
During his visit, the minister will co-chair the 13th India-UAE High Level Task Force on Investments (HLJTFI) along with Sheikh Hamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Managing Director of the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (ADIA).
The aim of the IGFA is to enhance the bilateral relations and to further strengthen the relations between the two countries in the ports, maritime and logistics sectors.
India and UAE are in talks for a Rupee-Dirham-denominated bilateral trade, said Sunjay Sudhir, Indian Ambassador to UAE, adding that both the countries will find it beneficial.
Goyal said the India-UAE CEPA, covering merchandise trade and services, has many firsts to its credit, including the fact that the trade pact was sealed in a record span of 88 days.
On Sunday, Dubai's flagship carrier Emirates said that expects to resume its flights from India from July 7.
