Police said that the victim charged that Abhishek Mishra drugged her with milk under the guise of Prasad, raped her, and then took photos and videos. The accused even threatened her of making the videos and photos viral if she refused.
Conveyor & Ropeway Services Pvt. Ltd. (CRSPL), a Kolkata-based engineering company specialising in aerial ropeway systems, has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee to associate on research and development of ropeway technologies, to provide technical and collaborative support for a sustainable transport in urban connectivity.
The Uttarakhand Health Department will engage IIT Roorkee in examining the feasibility of a part of half constructed Pithoragarh Medical College in light of recent landslide and land subsidence in the area.

The programs, offered under the aegis of IIT Roorkee, are of two types - Advanced Certificate Program in Full Stack Software Development spanning 10 months with specialization in either Cloud Computing or Python for Data Science, and Shorter Duration Certificate Programs in Front End Software Development, Back End Software Development, Cloud Computing & Python for Data Science.
“We are happy to announce two certificate courses in data science, machine learning, and AI in partnership with Coursera. This will enable a large number of aspirants to acquire these relevant areas for their professional growth,” said Prof Ajit K Chaturvedi, Director, IIT Roorkee.
The Institute had also organized an Online Debate competition held on February 20, 2021 in which a total 06 schools participated in the two different categories (Category I- Class IX-XII and Category II- ClassVI-VIII).
This Centre is envisaged to evolve as a unique facility at the national level wherein state-of-the-art and frontier research would be conducted on several aspects of Drone technology, including Drone development, Drone applications and Anti-Drone technology.
