The aircraft was operating from Visakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh to the national capital when the issue was reported.
Several westbound international flights from the IGI Airport were delayed amid the ongoing tensions in West Asia, Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL) said on Tuesday.
"Recently, approval has also been received for the extension of this corridor from Aerocity to Terminal 1 IGI Airport station (2.263 kms)," a DMRC spokesperson said on Saturday.
According to the police, the accused were wanted in a case registered last month at Maharashtra’s Miraj Railway Police Station.
On November 6, around 800 flights were reportedly delayed following a technical glitch in the Automatic Message Switching System (AMSS) of the Air Traffic Control.
The AAI said that following the AMSS glitch, a review meeting was held by the Secretary, MoCA, with Chairman AAI, Member ANS, and other officials, and necessary directions were given to address the issues.
The incident occurred at 12:25 PM near the C-34 aircraft parking pier. The bus, registered as DL 1P D 3975 and operated by Air India SATS (AISATS), was reportedly powered by Compressed Natural Gas (CNG).
“The case dates back to December 2021, when Karan Bhatia, Director of Ice Dream Global Pvt. Ltd., lodged a complaint alleging that Sharma duped his company into investing ₹2.16 crore in a so-called industrial hemp project,” said Amrutha Guguloth, Additional Commissioner of Police (EOW).
On Monday, the sleuths of the central probe agency intercepted the accused at IGI Airport, New Delhi, with the help of immigration officers while he was attempting to board an outbound flight to Kathmandu, Nepal, following which he was arrested.
