Replying to Tendulkar's tweet, Kambli went down the memory lane to recall one of the funny incidents involving the batting duo.
Tendulkar, who retired in November 2013, scored 15,921 runs in Tests and 18,426 in ODIs, both of which remain records. Sachin is the only player in international cricket with 100 centuries.
ICC Chief Executive Manu Sawhney said: "Sachin, Allan and Cathryn are three of the finest players to ever grace our game and are deserved additions to the Hall of Fame."
Rahul Dravid, who is also currently the head coach of India 'A' team, was not present on the occasion to receive the honour.
