Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday addressed the 350th Shaheedi Samagam commemorating the martyrdom of Guru Tegh Bahadur, paying homage to the ninth Sikh Guru as an enduring symbol of courage, sacrifice and social harmony.

The event, attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, brought together spiritual reverence and national leadership on one platform.

Modi, who also released a special coin and commemorative stamp marking the 350th Shaheedi Diwas of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur, the revered ninth Sikh Guru, said, “New India neither fears nor stops, and it does not bend before terrorism.”
The event served as a remarkable confluence of India's heritage, as the Prime Minister arrived from Ayodhya earlier in the day, where he had participated in the ceremony to hoist the saffron flag atop the Ram Janmabhoomi Temple
The procession, which commenced from Gurdwara Sisganj Sahib, will proceed to Gurdwara Anandpur Sahib in Punjab.
Taking to the social media platform ‘X’, Shah stated, "On the 350th martyrdom day of the ninth Guru of Sikhism, ‘Hind Ki Chadar’, Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji, I bow and pay my respects to him."
