An earthquake of magnitude 5.2 struck close to Nicobar Islands region on Friday. No loss of life or property was reported and no tsunami warning has been issued.

Earthquake of magnitude 4.7 hits Great Nicobar Island
A Category IV earthquake hit Nicobar Islands at 3.24 pm on Sunday. The quake measuring 4.7 on the Richter scale had its epicentre 70 km under the seabed, about 80 km to the east of Campbell Bay.
