The Centre on Friday directed law enforcement agencies of all states and Union Territories to accord priority to online crimes against women and children and ensure prompt and coordinated response to such cases.
Union Home Secretary Govind Mohan on Thursday held a meeting with Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha here and discussed the security situation, ongoing anti-terror operations and the operational preparedness of the security forces in the Union Territory.
Sources said that the meeting will focus on an in-depth review of counter-terror operations in hilly districts of the Jammu region, such as Doda, Kishtwar, Kathua and Udhampur, where gunfights have happened recently with Pakistani terrorists.
