South Africa said it will officially hand over the G20 presidency to the United States anytime from Monday, at an “appropriate” and “equivalent” level, following a boycott of the Johannesburg G20 Summit by US President Donald Trump.

Earlier, Chief Coordinator of India’s G20 Presidency, Harsh Vardhan Shringla said the G20 Summit has provided India with an opportunity to showcase its diversity, legacy and digital public infrastructure.
Speaking on India’s G20 Presidency, Jaishankar said that there have been “some achievements, some work in progress, and some hope in progress”.
"The G20 recognised today that the Global South is facing great problems that need to be responded with an action plan. This action plan was proposed by India," he added.
India's G20 presidency inclusive pan-India approach, centred on Jan Bhagidari or citizen's engagement has so far covered over 41 cities, with around a dozen meetings held in the North Eastern part of the country.
