Union Minister for Commerce and Industry Piyush Goyal has urged the exporters and industry bodies to fully leverage India’s Free Trade Agreements (FTAs) with developed economies to expand market access, boost exports and create employment opportunities, noting that timely utilisation of these agreements is critical.
The growth will be largely driven by higher realisations, supported by the sharp depreciation of the rupee against the US dollar and the euro.
Speaking at a post-budget webinar attended by industry leaders and stakeholders, Modi outlined a clear and ambitious vision for the country’s economic future, anchored on what he described as the four pillars of growth: “Build more, produce more, connect more, and export more.
Initiatives such as Ease of Doing Business, Free Trade Agreements (FTAs) and growing public confidence have infused a fresh energy into the economy, he said in a social media post on X.
