Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav asserted on Monday that Madhya Pradesh is on its way to becoming the country’s 'food basket', which in turn would propel India to the position of becoming the leading food provider to the world.
A research project will focus on giving direction to enhance the presence of millets in the food basket in Odisha, which is rich in natural resources, water, and soil but still, poor in productivity.
The Union agriculture minister called on the researchers not confine their work to the lab but extend it to the farmers.
