Acting on his instructions, state ministers are inspecting flood-affected areas. Relief Commissioner Bhanu Chandra Goswami reported that the floods have impacted 37 tehsils and 402 villages, affecting a total of 84,392 people.
The Chief Minister directed officials to personally visit the affected areas, monitor the situation, and accelerate relief efforts.
Despite adverse weather conditions and widespread inundation in the affected areas, a total of seven naval rescue teams departed by road for deployment in Ratnagiri and Raigarh districts from Mumbai on Thursday.
