Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee President Harshwardhan Sapkal alleged here on Friday that the Fadnavis government has piled up a mountain of debt on the state, and its budget, with a deficit of approximately Rs 40,000 crore, is driving Maharashtra towards bankruptcy.
The loan waiver scheme will be applicable to farmers with outstanding debts of up to Rs 2 lakh and whose crop loans have arrears till September 30, 2025.
During this deadlock, an Independent MLA and Advisor to CM Sanyam Lodha raised an issue of recruitment of youth which the Speaker Dr C P Joshi strongly objected to.
