As Rahul Gandhi’s ‘vote chori’ allegations against the BJP intensify, the controversy has now spread to DUSU. NSUI candidate Joslyn Nandita Choudhary has come forward with her own claims of EVM rigging against ABVP’s candidate.
There is a difference between the words and actions of BJP and its allies due to their casteist, capitalist, communal and malicious policies, she said.
Earlier on Tuesday, 22 Opposition parties demanded that VVPAT slips at randomly selected five polling booths be counted first, and if any discrepancy occurs, then VVPAT slips be tallied for the entire assembly segments.
A senior EC official said on Monday evening, “ECI firmly stands by the empirical facts about foolproof nature of the ECI EVMs deployed in elections in India. Whereas, ECI has been wary of becoming a party to this motivated slugfest, ECI maintains that its EVMs are foolproof.”
