The Supreme Court refused to urgently list a plea filed against the Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla's recent decision to recognise the merger of six rebel Uddhav Thackeray-led Shiv Sena MPs with the Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena, sources said here on Tuesday.
The Maharashtra State Council of Examination postponed the June 28 TET after police received intelligence suggesting that confidential question paper information had reached individuals in Bhiwandi. The exam was to be conducted at 1,028 centres across the state.

"The BJP must explain how such alliances came about. You (the media) should ask the BJP how these alliances get formed. Their leaders may have taken these decisions for power. Senior BJP leaders should take action against this," Shinde told media persons here.
Uddhav Thackeray-led Shiv Sena Rajya Sabha MP and chief party spokesperson Sanjay Raut lashed out against Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde here on Monday for allegedly utilising the police to force an SS (UBT) election candidate to meet Shinde, who "persuaded" him to "withdraw" his candidature for the municipal corporation election scheduled for January 15.
Incidentally, among those who got elected "unopposed" are 45 BJP candidates, 19 Shinde-led Sena candidates and two Ajit PAwar-led NCP candidates.
Fadnavis said that both parties have lost their identity and vote bank by indulging in the politics of appeasement.
