The three-day annual Maghi Mela, commemorating the martyrdom of the Forty Liberated Ones (Chali Mukte), will be held at Sri Muktsar Sahib from January 13 to January 15, 2026.
“Cutting-edge technology will enable real-time monitoring and crowd management for safety, security of devotees and it will ensure hassle-free pilgrimage,” the Lieutenant Governor said.
Following the huge rush of passengers during the ongoing festive period, the Eastern Railway has directed all the divisional railway managers to depute branch officers round the clock to provide all kinds of assistance to the passengers and meet any kind of exigency.
This is the first time the Railway Protection Force (RPF), which is responsible for protecting railway property, will be trained to control mobs.
