Australian Health Minister Mark Butler said the nation has decided to follow the position of countries across Asia, North America and Europe to introduce measures amid the "absence of comprehensive information about the situation in China.
According to the guidelines, patients with mild ailments would have to stay at home isolations for maximum seven days soon after they are tested positive. They won’t require for further tests if they have no fever for three days successively during the week-long isolation period.
Australia's caseload and death toll currently stood at 499,987 and 2,266, respectively.
