Oil marketing companies have raised domestic and commercial LPG cylinder prices, citing rising global energy costs. The move has drawn political reactions and concern from households facing rising living expenses.
After the move, the latest retail price of a 19 kg LPG cylinder in Delhi now stands at Rs 1,856.50. Last month, too, their prices were reduced by Rs 91.50 per unit, standing at Rs 2,028 per unit.
Sources also said that the increased price of LPG cylinders is effective today. This is the second-highest price of 19 kg commercial cylinder after 2012-13 when it used to cost around Rs 2,200 per cylinder.
