ECI orders ‘zero tolerance’ crackdown on post-poll violence in West Bengal

The Election Commission of India on Tuesday directed Chief Secretary, Director General of Police and Central Armed Police Forces deployed in West Bengal to enforce “zero tolerance” towards any incidents of post-poll violence, stressing the need for strict and immediate action to maintain law and order following the Assembly election results.

J & K Rifles,Signals named Best Marching Contingent at RD Parade

The Jammu and Kashmir Rifles marching contingent has been named the Best Marching Contingent among the Services at the 26th January Republic Day Parade on Kartavya Path. A panel of judges evaluated the performances of marching contingents from the Services, Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF), other auxiliary forces, and tableaux from various states, Union Territories (UTs), and Central government ministries.

MHA resumes air service for CAPF personnel in J&K and northeast

According to a Ministry of Home Affairs' notification, the air courier services have got approval for seven months from September 1, this year to March 31, 2022. The services were discontinued because of the non-approval from the Union Home Ministry.

Software-based transfer policy for paramilitary forces soon

"In the proposed review by the Home Ministry, the officials of the CISF, ITBP, and SSB will be presenting the live demonstration of their software being used in rotational transfer in compliance of Shah's directives to the effect," the officials in the Home Ministry said.
