In her petition, the complainant challenged the premature release of 11 convicts in her gangrape and murder of family members in 2002 Gujarat riots.
“Writ petition will be listed. Don’t keep mentioning the same thing again and again. It will be listed,” Chief Justice D Y Chandrachud said appearing irked over repeated mentioning of the matter.
Bano has also moved a review petition against the apex court judgment allowing the Gujarat government to decide on the remission of the convicts.
Issuing notice to Gujarat government, a three-judge bench comprising Chief Justice of India (CJI) N V Ramana, justices Ajay Rastogi and Vikram Nath sought state's reply and posted the matter for hearing after two weeks.
