Lockdown was first clamped with effect from May 5, till May 10, after the state was rattled by an unprecedented spurt in Covid-19 cases and fatalities.

As per data of the health department till Wednesday evening, positive cases had fallen below the 10,000 mark in the state for the first time after 22 days. Besides, cases have been reducing, for the last 9 days consecutively.
