Raising his voice against the problems allegedly caused by E20 petrol, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann on Thursday called upon people to unite and fight against what he described as an injustice being inflicted on consumers through its sale.
In a major breakthrough amidst the ongoing drive to make Punjab a drug-free state as per directions of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, Counter Intelligence (CI) Amritsar has busted a cross-border narcotics smuggling module with the arrest of two operatives and recovered 30 kg of heroin from their possession, said Director General of Police (DGP) Punjab Gaurav Yadav here on Tuesday.
Verka (Milkfed Punjab) recorded a turnover of ₹551 crore in June 2026, up from ₹480 crore during the corresponding month last year, registering a growth of 14.79%.
The recovered pistols include one 9MM Glock, one .30 bore Tisas Turkiye, one .30 bore Special Modified Pistol, four .30 bore pistols.

Positioning rural development as a central pillar of inclusive growth, the Chief Minister outlined key initiatives ranging from the launch of Punjab’s first-ever caste socio-economic survey to large-scale infrastructure creation, revenue generation through transparent land management, and youth-focused development programmes.
The Punjab Cabinet led by Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann on Sunday took several key decisions, including paving the way for the launch of the Mukh Mantri Mawan Dheeyan Satkar Yojna across Punjab, ensuring a monthly financial assistance of ₹1000 to all other women and ₹1500 to women from Scheduled Castes, benefiting more than 97% of women in Punjab.
Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann said that the Punjab Government is making strenuous efforts to restore the pristine glory of the state in every field, asserting that Punjab is once again moving towards vibrancy and holistic development.
Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann on Wednesday asserted that the Punjab government will stake a claim of ₹1.44 lakh crore against the Rajasthan government for decades of unpaid water usage.
Sharing further details, the Minister stated that the Punjab government considers its elderly citizens a valuable asset, and their safety and dignity remain a top priority.
