Set to ease pressure on Delhi’s airport, the Jewar facility will start with 12 million passenger capacity and expand significantly, strengthening NCR’s aviation network and cargo movement.
The Union Cabinet on Tuesday approved the declaration of Madurai Airport as an international airport, a step aimed at strengthening global connectivity and boosting tourism and economic activity in southern Tamil Nadu.
It has also approved the Minimum Support Price (MSP) for raw jute for the marketing season 2026–27.
