Quest for Rashtrabhasha

Hindi has been modernised and is endowed with greater literary merit. It has been a force for India's unity. Does it not have the right to claim the position of the common language of our country? What the Rashtrabhasha advocates do not appear to realise is that even the slightest hint of compulsion revives the controversy and politicises the entire issue.

A life devoted to children

“These children are from the economically weaker section of the society. Either they are orphans, or their parents are too poor to provide for their basic needs. They come from places as far as Nepal, Mizoram as also from Uttar Pradesh” says Mr Dharam Dutt.
