India on Friday acknowledged Argentina's interest in the made-in-India Tejas fighter aircraft for the Argentine Air Force .The talks on Tejas featured during External Affairs Minister (EAM) S Jaishankar's two-day official visit to Argentina.
The qualifying match between the South American rivals was scheduled for last September, but it was called off less than 10 minutes into the game due to alleged violations of Covid-19 rules by Argentina.
CBF coordinator Juninho Paulista said the match, slated for the Melbourne Cricket Ground on June 11, was canceled at the request of the Argentine Football Association.
The South American rivals had been scheduled to play the qualifier in September 2021 but the fixture was suspended minutes after kick-off because of alleged Covid-19 rule breaches by the Argentine side.
Brazil and Argentina will be returning to the MCG, having last faced off at the venue in 2017 when Lionel Messi's Argentina had defeated their South American rivals 1-0 in front of a spectacular 95,569 fans.
