Union Home Minister Amit Shah will campaign for the BJP in Gujarat on Thursday. He is scheduled to hold three roadshows and a public meeting in the state.
Shah said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India will soon be Naxal-free.
This, he said “is a proud moment for us for we have seen the consecration of Lord Rama in our lifetime.
Commending Chief Minister N Biren Singh's proactive efforts, Shah praised the implementation of the Inner Line Permit system as a crucial step towards preserving Manipur's integrity.
Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu on Thursday called on Union Home Minister Amit Shah at New Delhi and urged for immediate relief of Rs. 2000 crore for relief and restoration works.
Slamming the Opposition bloc – Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance (INDIA) – for extending support to the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in its fight against the Centre over the Delhi services Bill, Union Home Minister Amit Shah asserted that even after the formation of the Opposition alliance, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will come to power again with full majority in the next year's Lok Sabha's polls.
The Bill to replace the ordinance for control of services in Delhi is likely to spark stormy scenes in Parliament on Thursday as the legislation could not be taken up for consideration and passage on the tenth day of the ongoing Monsoon session because both Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha faced adjournments, owing to disruptions by Opposition benches over the Manipur issue.
The Opposition maintained that the House did not have legislative competence to pass the Bill.
Badal said that Sikhs were not only a national minority but also a minority in Jammu and Kashmir with just 3.5 lakh population there.
