Indian cricketer Shikhar Dhawan is the latest to attack Pakistani cricketer Shahid Afridi for his Tweet against India on the Kashmir issue.

“Pehle khudke desh ki haalat sudharo. Apni soch apne paas rakho. Apne desh ka joh hum kar rahe hai woh acha hi hai aur aage jo karna hai woh humein ache se pata hai. Zyaada dimaag mat lagao @SAfridiOfficial, ” Shikhar Dhawan wrote on Twitter.

Shahid Afridi, who had led Pakistan cricket team in the past, took to Twitter to comment on the shutdown in the Valley and the deaths of four civilians in crossfire during the anti-terror operations in Jammu-Kashmir.

“Appalling and worrisome situation ongoing in the Indian Occupied Kashmir.Innocents being shot down by oppressive regime to clamp voice of self determination & independence. Wonder where is the @UN & other int bodies & why aren’t they making efforts to stop this bloodshed?,” wrote Afridi while tagging the United Nations in his tweet.

“We respect all. And this is an example as sportsman. But when it comes to human rights we expect the same for our innocent Kashmiris,” Afridi wrote in another Tweet with a picture wherein he is posing with an Indian fan carrying a Tricolour.

The comment offended many in India, who, besides trolling him, reminded the swashbuckling cricketer that he had once praised India to the skies by saying that the “Pakistani cricket team received more love in India than they did in Pakistan”.

Song-writer Javed Akhtar too had taken a dig at Afridi.

“Dear Mr Afridi , since you want to see a peaceful JK sans any human rights violations could you please see to it that pak terrorists stop infiltrations n pak army stops supporting the separatists by closing down the training camps . It will greatly help in solving the problem,” wrote Javed Akhtar while responding to Afridi’s Tweet.
