Virat Kohli-led side outclassed West Indies team to win the final ODI clinching the five-match series 3-1.

In the last match, the Indian bowlers bowled at their optimum level and bundled out the Windies team for just 104. Following the target of 105 runs, hitman Rohit Sharma took charge of Indian innings as home team chased the total with utmost ease and nine wickets in hand.

The win was also team India’s sixth consecutive series victory over West Indies team and 6th consecutive victory at home. India will next take on West Indies for three-match T20I series before travelling to Down Under for a long tour.

Indian skipper Virat Kohli has been rested from the upcoming T20I series against the Caribbean side. Wicket-keeper batsman MS Dhoni has been dropped from both the T20I series against West Indies and Australia respectively. In Virat Kohli’s absence, Rohit Sharma will lead the Indian side and rookie keeper Rishabh Pant is expected to keep the wickets for India.

Earlier talking about MS Dhoni’s ouster, Virat Kohli had said “I think people are putting too much variables into the situation, which is not the case I can assure of that. He’s still a very integral part of this team and he just feels that in the T20 format, someone like Rishabh can get more chances, he anyway plays the ODIs for us regularly.”
