Lionel Messi may have been the star of Argentina’s 4-0 win over Haiti in their 2018 FIFA World Cup warm-up tie, but his sons, Thiago and Mateo, managed to steal his thunder in the aftermath with an adorable rendition of the popular Vamos, Vamos, Argentina chant.

The video, unsurprisingly, is going viral on Instagram.

Earlier in the day, Messi fired yet another treble to guide La Albiceleste to a thumping win over Haiti but his latest social media post is likely to overshadow his exploits on the pitch, for the right reasons.

Thiago, six, leads the chant but it’s his little brother Mateo, three, who takes the cake with his crooning in a diaper.

Messi’s third son with wife Antonella Roccuzzo, Ciro, was born earlier in the year and is too young to join in with his brothers, which is a shame but we aren’t complaining.

Vamos, Vamos Argentina is arguably the most iconic football song for La Albliceleste fans and the lyrics are:

Vamos, vamos Argentina,
vamos, vamos a ganar,
que esta barra bullanguera,
no te deja, no te deja de alentar.

When translated, they read:

Let’s go, let’s go Argentina,
We’re going, we’re going to win,
for these raucous supporters,
won’t stop, won’t stop cheering you.

As is evident, Thiago and Mateo absolutely nail the chant and they might just prove to be Argentina’s secret weapon at the World Cup in Russia.

Chasing their first World Cup since 1986, the South Americans will once again rely heavily on their talisman Messi to end their trophy drought.

Jorge Sampaoli’s men play Israel in their final warm-up match on Saturday.

They have been drawn in Group D, along with Iceland, Croatia and Nigeria.
