Gambhir hails Dhoni as India’s most successful captain
In their heydays, both Gambhir and Dhoni were instrumental in two of India’s three ICC title wins.
Star Indian pacer Ishant Sharma has been named the skipper of Delhi team for the upcoming Vijay Hazare Trophy. On Tuesday, Delhi & District Cricket Association announced Pradeep Sangwan as the vice-captain of the team.
In the 15-member squad of Delhi team, big names like former Indian opener Gautam Gambhir, star T20 player Rishabh Pant and Unmukt Chand have been included.
Kshitiz Sharma, who had played 11 Twenty 20s and scored 111 runs with the strike rate of 97.36, has also been included in the Delhi squad.

Meanwhile, Bengal Cricket Association has also announced their 15-member squad for the Vijay Hazare Trophy. The star under-19 pacer Ishan Porel, who wrote history in the semi-finals of Under 19 World cup between India and Pakistan by sending 4 Pakistan batsmen back to the pavilion, has also been included in the Bengal squad.
The likes of Ashok Dinda and Manoj Tiwary will also feature in the Bengal squad.
Not just Delhi and Bengal, but Mumbai too have announced the squad for the Vijay Hazare Trophy. The wicket-keeper batsman Aditya Tare will lead the Mumbai team. The veteran pacer, Dhawal Kulkarni is named the deputy of Aditya.
