After former External Affairs Minister and senior BJP leader Sushma Swaraj passed away late on Tuesday night, the social media got flooded with the messages condoling her death. Meanwhile, the sports fraternity also mourned the death of the great Indian leader.

“Deeply saddened by the news of Sushma Ji’s demise, may her soul rest in peace,” tweeted India cricket team captain Virat Kohli.

“I’m beyond aggrieved at the passing away of Smt. #SushmaSwaraj A veteran politician and a pillar of the BJP, she was loved by everyone. She will be remembered as the most endearing & helpful politicians of recent times. My condolences to her family and friends. A huge loss for,” wrote former India cricketer and current East Delhi MP Gautam Gambhir on the microblogging website.

“Heartfelt condolences to family and admirers of #SushmaSwaraj ji. Om Shanti,” tweeted former India opener batsman Virender Sehwag.

“Shocked by the sudden demise of Sushma Swaraj Ji. In a political career spanning over 50yrs, she touched a billion hearts with her strength, grace & compassion. Her clutter breaking approach as the External Affairs Minister will always be revered & remembered,” tweeted former Union Minister and Olympic medallist Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore.
