Sachin Tendulkar condoles demise of ‘a true sports lover’ Tom Alter
Sachin shared an old picture where he was seen talking with the actor in a TV interview.

Indian cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar expressed his condolences to the family of veteran actor Tom Alter, who passed away in Mumbai on Saturday.
Calling him ‘a true sports lover’, Sachin shared an old picture where he was seen talking with the actor in a TV interview.
“Through my first ever TV interview, met a true sports lover and a good human being. You will live in our hearts forever. RIP #TomAlter,” he tweeted.

In the picture, both Sachin and Alter appeared younger with the former must be enjoying his teenage days’ success.

Veteran theatre and film personality Alter lost his battle against skin cancer. He was surrounded by his family members during his last hours at his residence in Mumbai.
“It is with sadness we announce the death of Tom Alter, actor, writer, director, Padma Shri, and our dear husband and father. Tom passed away on Friday night at home with his family and close family members in attendance. We ask for their privacy to be respected at this time,” read a statement released by Alter’s family.
