As reported by Rob Dawson, who works for ESPN, Inter Milan had bid for £54 million. However, the offer was promptly refused by Manchester United who had expected a higher bid for their striker.

Rob tweeted, “United have rejected a £54m bid from Inter for Romelu Lukaku. Still miles short of what United think he’s worth. Signed for £75m and has four years left on his contract.”

Lukaku has not at all featured for Manchester United in their pre-season games till now.

Inter Milan and Manchester United are fighting it out against each other on 20 July, Saturday. Action has begun from 5 pm (IST ) onwards.
