Indian spinner Ravindra Jadeja, who claimed 10 wickets in the recently concluded series against Sri Lanka, appeared furious over a fan’s remark on Friday.

“Someone came to me and said ‘well ball Ajay. You bowled brilliantly in last match.’ Played nine years of international cricket for country and still people don’t remember my name. #stupidity #gavaar,” Jajeja wrote on Twitter.

Jadeja has been forced out of India’s limited-over squad by the young generation spinners Yuzvendra Chahal, Kuldeep Yadav and Axar Patel. The 29-year-old Saurashtra all-rounder, however, retained his spot in the Test format.

He last played a limited over match for India in July, facing West Indies in ODI and T20I series.

Returning to the turf after a leap of five months, that too in Tests, Jadeja failed to claim a single wicket in the first Test against Sri Lanka in Kolkata.

However, Jadeja impressed in the following Tests and took 10 wickets in four innings of the matches in Nagpur and Delhi.

Having a surname similar to former India cricketer Ajay Jadeja, fans at times get confused between the two. The former has set an example for the generations to come, though the latter has a long way to go!
