Former champions Leicester City will hope to spring an upset when they visit leaders Manchester United for a Premier League tie at Old Trafford on Saturday night.

The Red Devils are in a buoyant mood at the moment, topping the league with two wins from two and have emerged as early favourites for the title.

Their opponents narrowly lost out to Arsenal on the opening weekend, but recovered with convincing victories over Brighton and Sheffield United (League Cup) to give themselves a fighting chance for Sunday.

Manchester United

Does he stay with his winning formula and use the Frenchman against tired legs in the second-half or does he drop the misfiring Marcus Rashford?

Players are returning from long-term injuries, there are no suspensions, summer signings Nemanja Matic and Romelu Lukaku have hit the ground running to give United an intimidating aura once again.

Leicester are no pushovers, however, and United’s backline faces its stiffest test yet against an attack that has managed to score nine goals in its last three games.

Leicester City

Craig Shakespeare seems tailor-made to lead Leicester City, for the Foxes have a favourable record since the 53-year-old took over from Claudio Ranieri last season.

The Foxes look set to be a mid-table team that will regularly punch above its weight and barring an unforeseen collapse, will not be involved in the relegation dog-fight come season-end.

However, the tie at Old Trafford may see them overwhelmed if they try to match United head-on and Shakespeare will have to take a leaf out of Swansea manager Paul Clement’s book.

For 80 minutes, Swansea’s disciplined defence had made life difficult for United last week and while they eventually folded, they were on to something.

And considering Shakespeare has some quality players like Riyad Mahrez and Jamie Vardy in his squad, the Foxes should be able to hurt United on the counter.
