Messi scores on return from injury for Inter Miami
Lionel Messi scored on his return from injury as Inter Miami were held to a 2-2 home draw with Colorado in their Major League Soccer (MLS) clash.
If reports from certain sections of media are to be believed Barcelona star Ivan Rakitic is considering leaving La Liga giants Barcelona since he feels he is not able to attract enough respect at Barca.
According to a latest report carried by Don Balon, a Spanish media outlet, Rakitic is not very happy at the club. He is in fact most disappointed with football superstar Lionel Messi. This is because Barcelona had used Rakitic as an offer to try and rope in Neymar from Paris Saint-Germain (PSG).
However, despite attempts from Barcelona, the transfer window slammed shut and Neymar remained at PSG but Rakitic has still not been able to cement his place in the regular starters for the team. It is now being reported that club manager Ernesto Valverde is also looking to offload him.

Interestingly, despite being a key member of the Barca squad over the years, Rakitic seems to have lost his significance in the team and according to the report by Don Balon, he is considering a move to Serie A team Inter Milan.
Meanwhile, team Ernesto Valverde is having a completely different take on the issue.
“I don’t think he’s affected [by lack of starts]. There’s no reason he should feel that way. We have a lot of players here, if Rakitic doesn’t play it’s the same if Arthur or Vidal or Alena or Sergi or Busquets – whoever I don’t play it’s going to be a story,” Ernesto Valverde was quoted as saying by Fox Sports Asia.
“There are going to be lots of questions this season not just about Rakitic but about all midfielders, because evidently they can’t all play and there’s stiff competition for places,” he added.
