Star Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah, who is also counted as the best pace bowler currently in Team India in all formats of the game (Test, T20I, ODIs), is on the verge of achieving yet another personal milestone.

Bumrah is just five wickets short of becoming most successful death overs (16 to 20) bowler by toppling Afghanistan spin sensation Rashid Khan. While Rashid has picked 33 wickets in the shortest format of the game while bowling in the last overs, Bumrah has 29 wickets in his bucket and currently sits on the third spot on the illustrious list. The second spot in the list is reserved by Sri Lankan great Lasith Malinga, who has 31 wickets under his name while bowling in death overs.

Meanwhile, Australian pace bowler Pat Cummins also heaped praises on Bumrah, stating that the Indian seamer’s pace and accuracy made him a serious threat in all formats of the game (T20, Test and ODI).

“He is obviously a class act. Two of the basics he does really well is that he bowls fast and he bowls accurately. Anyone who does that in world cricket will pose a real challenge for the batsmen. He has got a great slower ball, seems to have a great cricketing brain, executes his skills really well,” Cummins said, before adding, “He has done really well in all three formats and the one to watch out for.”

Earlier, during the first T20I against Australia Bumrah became the second Indian bowler to pick up 50 wickets in T20I cricket after he returned with figures of 3/16 on Sunday. India’s spin wizard Ravichandran Ashwin has taken 52 wickets in 46 T20I matches.
