Statehood protest will proceed even without Jantar Mantar permission: CM Omar Abdullah

After the death of his uncle and senior ruling National Conference (NC) leader Dr Mustafa Kamal on Tuesday, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Wednesday said there will be no change in the schedule for the 20 July Delhi protest for the restoration of Jammu and Kashmir’s statehood, even if we don’t get permission for the protest at Jantar Mantar.

“The right to vote is one of the most important rights guaranteed by the Indian Constitution to the people of Tamil Nadu. As it concerns our lives, it is vital for every individual to be identified as alive,” he said in a video message posted on his X timeline. “Will you believe that none in Tamil Nadu currently has the right to vote? Not only me — this is the predicament of lakhs of people.”
