Hasin Jahan, wife of cricketer Mohammed Shami, filed a police complaint against her husband and his family members at a Kolkata police station. In her complaint filed on Thursday, 8 March, Jahan accused Shami of having extra marital affairs and physical torture.

She has also alleged that Shami’s family members tried to kill her and have been torturing her for more than two years.

Jahan had visited the Kolkata Police headquarters at Lalbazar on Wednesday, the day she put out screenshots of alleged conversations between Shami and other women on her Facebook page.

She created uproar with her allegations that the Indian pacer is a big womaniser who has been torturing her ever since their marriage.

Talking to India TV, Jahan had claimed that Shami wanted to take her Pakistani girlfriend instead of her on India’s tour to Sri Lanka in 2017.

“Shami repeatedly keeps on asking me for divorce. Shami wanted to take his Pakistani girlfriend on Sri Lanka tour in 2017 instead of me. Shami told his brother in UP to kill me and bury my body in some jungle. Shami never wanted to attend any party with me and never acknowledge me as his wife in any social gatherings,” Hasin Jahan told India TV.

Jahan also revealed that Shami wanted to marry a Bollywood actress like Indian skipper Virat Kohli.

“Just like Virat Kohli, Shami wants to get married to a Bollywood actress. He thinks he made a big mistake by taking the decision of marrying me hastily.”

Before marrying Shami, Jahan was model and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) cheerleader. The duo tied the knot in 2014.

“I’ve done everything he wanted me to do. I left my modelling career, job and also did not step out of the house,” Hasin said, adding, “I’m not going to divorce him till my last breath. I’ve all evidence against him and will soon drag him to court.”

“In the last two years, Shami started giving me mental and physical torture in every possible manner,” she told the channel.

Shami, who was not included in the new annual contract of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) following Jahan’s claims, refuted the allegations made by his wife and claimed innocence.
