Earlier this month, the World Cup turned out to be a dream run for Argentina and its fans. The megastar Lionel Messi led his team to World Cup victory as he was also named the Player of the Tournament after he scored a total of 7 goals, just behind the top scorer Mbappe.
He also scored 2 goals in the final itself and one in the penalty shootout as Argentina snatched victory from the hands of France in the penalties by 4-2.
Moreover, he plays club football for PSG and is expected to be back in action next week. In Messi’s absence, Mbappe smashed an injury-time penalty to register a 2-1 win for PSG over Strasbourg on Thursday.
