Celebrity couples are not safe from the regular storm of breakup rumours no matter how strong their relationship has been. The latest buzz is about former England football player David Beckham and fashion designer Victoria Beckham, who have been married for 19 years now.
No, David and Victoria Beckham are not breaking up. They have broken their social media silence for the first time since the rumours started floating that they are set to divorce.
The speculations emerged on Twitter last week when a user posted that the couple were headed for a split because of David’s alleged affair with daughter Harper Beckham’s teacher, who is now said to be pregnant with David Beckham’s child.

With the divorce rumour going viral on social media, the couple’s spokesperson issued a statement. “There is no statement due, no divorce…This is all very bizarre and an embarrassing waste of time,” The Sun quoted the spokesperson as saying. The statement called rumours that a divorce announcement was imminent “a crock of shit”.
Once the statement was shared by their spokesperson, David and Victoria returned to social media.
The former football star took to his Instagram handle to promote his House 99 skincare brand. His post read: “@House99 is gearing up, share your #GameReady looks.”
Victoria, on the other hand, shared two posts on Instagram. She posted a photo of her and daughter Harper with the caption: “Morning cuddles x So much love 🏻 We love and miss u @davidbeckham”
In another post, she posed along with her three children Romeo, Harper and Cruz, and her parents Jackie and Anthony Adams. She captioned the picture as, “Fun dinner x kisses from us all”.
David and Victoria met at a charity football match back in 1997 where Victoria gave David her phone number on the back of a plane ticket. David proposed to Victoria a year later. Before relocating to Spain when Real Madrid signed David, they tied the knot in Ireland in 1999.
