If reports from certain sections of the media are to be believed, Atletico Madrid are eyeing yet another Real Madrid owned player and he is none other than Oscar Rodriguez who is currently on a loan to Leganes.

Notably, Atletico were interested in James Rodriguez but the deal failed to happen. They already have a few Real Madrid players in their team like Mario Hermoso, Marcos Llorente and Alvaro Morata and they are interested in adding Rodriguez in that list too.

According to a report carried by Don Balon, a Spanish media outlet, manager Diego Simeone rates the 21-year-old midfielder highly and wants Atletico Madrid to get him in the squad in the next summer transfer window. The Spanish International has made as many as seven appearances in the La Liga this season and has netted two goals.

Rodriguez had joined Leganes prior to the 2018-19 season on a two-year loan. He played 31 La Liga games in the last season in which he scored four goals and assisted four others. Having build a name for himself as a talented midfielder, it is obvious that top teams like Atletico Madrid are showing interest in him.

With eight months to go before the summer transfer window next year, the transfer story could be an interesting one to follow for all football followers.
