AIFF has condemned alleged racist behaviour during an ISL clash between Kerala Blasters and Bengaluru FC, referring the matter to its Disciplinary Committee while reiterating its zero-tolerance stance on discrimination.

The All India Football Federation (AIFF) has strongly condemned alleged racist behaviour during a recent Indian Super League clash, reaffirming its zero-tolerance stance and referring the matter to its Disciplinary Committee for investigation.
The controversy stems from a match between Kerala Blasters FC and Bengaluru FC at the Sree Kanteerava Stadium, where a viral video allegedly showed a fan directing racist remarks at Blasters defender Fallou Ndiaye. The clip quickly circulated on social media, sparking widespread outrage and renewed concerns over racism in Indian football.

In an official statement issued on Tuesday, the AIFF confirmed it had received complaints regarding discriminatory behaviour during the ongoing ISL 2025–26 season and reiterated its commitment to ensuring a safe and inclusive environment for all players.

“The AIFF maintains a zero-tolerance policy towards racism. The complaints have been referred to the Disciplinary Committee, an independent judicial body, for examination as per the AIFF Disciplinary Code,” the federation said, adding that it would refrain from further comment while proceedings are ongoing.
Emphasising its stance, the governing body stated that the Indian football community stands united against racism and that “those who bring hatred into our stadiums have no place in our game.”
Meanwhile, Kerala Blasters also issued a strong response, condemning the incident as “appalling” and confirming that the matter had been formally reported to league and federation authorities. The club reiterated its commitment to safeguarding the dignity and well-being of its players.
On the pitch, the Blasters secured a significant 2-1 victory, their first win over Bengaluru FC since September 2023, courtesy of goals from Victor Bertomeu and Franchu.
