Thailand monks start Walk for World Peace in Himalayas.

Two hundred monks from Thailand will be taking the fourth consecutive walk, “Pad Yatra”, towards Ladakh and the whole Himalayan region to spread the message of peace, humanity, love and harmony across the globe. The delegates from Thailand, monks, and nuns will walk barefoot all the way from Dharamsala to Ladakh.

The aim of this “Pad Yatra” is to divert global attention towards the revival of glory and resources in the Himalayan region and foster support from international communities in developing Ladakh and its people to be able to serve the world with their vast wisdom and spirituality.

His Holiness, the Dalai Lama, will be sermonizing and interacting with the 200 pilgrims at Dharamsala on 24th May. The programme will conclude with dinner. This mesmerising Pad Yatra from Dharmasala will begin from 25th May 2019 and conclude on 26th June 2019 at Mahabodhi International Meditation Centre, Ladakh.

 

Mahabodhi International Meditation Centre was founded by Bhikkhu Sanghasena with an aim to revive the heritage of the Himalayas and be a source of enlightenment for people from all across the globe.

 

Bhikkhu Sanghasena was born in the Himalayan region of Ladakh, India.

 

Mahabodhi International Meditation Centre (MIMC), Leh, Ladakh, is a non-governmental, non-sectarian, non-profit-making, socially-engaged Buddhist charitable organisation established in 1986.
