Cancer was believed to be one of the most difficult diseases to be cured but first time in history a small clinical’s experimental treatment observed that cancer had vanished in every single rectal cancer patient who received it.

As per New York Times, in the small clinical trial conducted by Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, 18 patients took a drug called Dostarlimab for around six months, and in the end, every one of them saw their tumours disappear.

Cancer is a disease in which some of the body’s cells grow uncontrollably and spread to other parts of the body and it was difficult to be cured by medicines but the drug, named Dostarlimab, has evidently cured every participant in the trial where a small group of people suffering from rectal cancer observed that their cancer vanished after the empirical treatment. According to reports, the 18 patients in the clinical trial took Dostarlimab for around six months and after over 12 months the doctors found that their cancer has disappeared.

According to experts, Dostarlimab is a drug with laboratory-produced molecules that acts equivalent to antibodies in the human body. Reportedly, all 18 rectal cancer patients were given the same drug and as a result of the treatment, cancer was completely obliterated in every patient. The cancer is undetectable by physical exam; endoscopy; positron emission tomography or PET scans or MRI scans.

The patients involved in the clinical trial earlier underwent treatments such as chemotherapy, radiation, and invasive surgery that could result in bowel, urinary, and even sexual dysfunction. Moreover, the 18 patients went into the trial expecting to have to go through these as the next step. However, to their surprise, no further treatment was needed.
