Patanjali’s Acharya Balkrishna has shared a simple and natural health suggestion on Facebook, and it is something most people already have in their kitchen: carrots. According to him, drinking carrot juice every day especially in winter can help you keep eyes healthy and strong.
Acharya Balkrishna wrote that carrots contain beta-carotene. It is a powerful nutrient that plays an important role in eye health. The body converts the same beta-carotene into vitamin A which is essential for clear vision.

In his post, he mentioned that beta-carotene can help the body fight conditions like night blindness (known as ‘rataundhi’ in Hindi), where a person finds it difficult to see in low light. He also said that regular consumption of carrot juice may help protect the eyes against cataracts, a condition where the natural lens of the eye becomes cloudy with age.
According to traditional Indian health wisdom, strengthening eyesight is closely linked to good nutrition. Carrots have long been known as a vision-friendly vegetable. Acharya Balkrishna’s advice now brings this traditional knowledge back into focus.
Carrots are especially fresh and easily available during winter. Acharya Balkrishna suggested that this is the best season to include carrot juice in the daily diet.
A glass of freshly made carrot juice can be a simple way to support eye health. It also boosts overall immunity.
Health experts often agree that winter vegetables are packed with nutrients. Carrots, in particular, are rich in antioxidants that help the body fight damage caused by pollution, weather changes, and ageing.
Many nutritionists say that even children and elderly people can benefit from carrot-based foods.
Carrot juice is also easy to make at home. It can be mixed with a little lemon or ginger for added flavour and benefits. Whether taken in the morning or evening, it works as a natural supplement for the eyes.
